Fashion Sewing (For Pre-Teens / Teens)
In this fun 4 week course, students will learn the fundamentals of sewing. Students will learn how to work a sewing machine, as well as hand stitching techniques. Students will learn how to layout and cut a patterns. And even manipulating the design to make custom clothing or accessories for themselves. Students will be given homework assignments and a final critique.
INSTRUCTOR BIO: The extremely talented Daniel Mayorga studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Sacred Heart University. He also holds a degree in fashion design. Upon graduation, he interned with Kithe Brewster Inc., famous stylist to the stars. His clients ranged from Heidi Klum to Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyra Banks and the House Wives of Atlanta. Daniel is also an experienced and impassioned teacher, helping others achieve their fashion dreams

* Stitches: Regular stitch, topstitch, edgestitch, basting
* Seam finishes: over-edge zigzag
* Working with fabric
* Pressing and finishing techniques
Course Duration: 4 Weeks
Classes Run: Sundays 3:30pm -5:00pm

Prerequisite: No experience is needed. Open registration.
