​Take your dressmaking skills to the next level in this 6 month intensive design and construction course. You'll learn french dressmaking details and techniques, draping on the dressform (like the couturier's do), design and fashion illustration. And, after completing your final projects (an original dress(es), continue to learn as you take design classes in PARIS! for 8 days. Now, that's taking a dressmaking course!!

The extremely talented Daniel Mayorga studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Sacred Heart University. He also holds a degree in fashion design. Upon graduation, he interned at Kithe Brewster Inc., famous stylist to the stars. His clients ranged from Heidi Klum to Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyra Banks and the House Wives of Atlanta. Daniel is also an experienced and impassioned teacher, helping others achieve their fashion dreams


  Learn to measure a body properly
  Learn to drape a dress on the dressform mannequin 
  Learn to make a toille (a test muslin)
  Learn intermediate to couture sewing construction techniques
  Learn dress design and fashion illustration
  Complete an original dress/gown
  Take a 8 day fashion trip to Paris:
       *  Round-trip flights
       *  Land transportation
       *  Hotel with private bathrooms
       *  Light breakfast daily; 3 local dinners
        * Full-time Local Tour Director
        * Fashion classes and learning activities, 
        * Fashion Design House and Parisian Fashion Institute visit
        * Fashion tour of Paris 
        * Entrances: Notre Dame; Louvre; Paris Museum of Fashion
        * Sightseeing tours and shopping trip: Paris
        * Optional: Versailles

​Course Duration: 6 month course/ 2hrs each class, once per week
Runs: November 14th - May 29th,  Thursdays 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Total Cost: $4,500
Non-Refundable Registration Fee: $195

Fabric and Supplies: 
Student should bring muslin fabric, measuring tape, Fabric scissors, Paper cutting Scissors, thread, pins, a seam ripper, hand needles, Dot pattern paper, mechanical pencil, clear ruler, L square ruler, hip curve ruler, french curve ruler and magic tape

Prerequisite: Some Sewing experience using commercial patterns a plus. " 4hr Learn to Sew in A Day"
