Who should enroll: this 6-month course is designed for those who are interested in developing the skills necessary for custom tailoring or made-to-measure tailoring.
The learning process: teaching starts from a very basic level. Students start out learning the theory behind tailoring, then move on to a repertoire of techniques to build a reference file, making samples, then whole garments.
Classes are small: students are given the opportunity to thoroughly develop and master the practical skills and knowledge necessary to work in the industry or to start business.
The outcome: Upon completion of this course and all assignments, qualified students will receive a certificate of completion to be used as recognition of professional training in the field, and placement assistance with a leading menswear company. Also, if starting a business, they will receive mentor-ship and business advice to help them achieve success.

You could be 18 or 80 years old, it's never too early or too late to get your fashion career going!

Tailor and instructor Ayao Agbeve was inspired to sew at a very young age. His great talent and work ethic landed him in charge of the alterations department at the US Embassy in his native Togo, West Africa. Inspired, he opened his own design business making custom tailored clothing for men and women, before moving to the United States. Ayao speaks fluent French, Spanish and English. He is a great asset to the Esaie Couture Design School.
