We'll teach you all you need to know to make stylish (and simple) pieces for yourself or others, even as a new sewer! Learn on our sewing machines or bring your own. Get step-by-step instructions to make a beach bag, sarong, and sun dress in just 3 half day or 3 evening workshops, 3 hours each session. You'll feel so accomplished as you learn to layout and cut patterns, assemble your garments, clean finish seams inside, make fit adjustments. Learn various machine sewing techniques, hand stitching, hem stitching, and more.

SKILLS & TECHNIQUES
- Sewing-machine basics
- Tools and terminology
- Stitches: Regular stitch, Pivot Stitching, Curved Stitches
- Seam finishes: Pinked, Zig zag or Serged
- Preparing, marking, and cutting fabric
- Sample construction techniques and finishing
- Proper pressing and finishing techniques
FABRIC & SUPPLIES
- Fabric (see suggested fabric/yardage list)
- Matching threads
- #15 bobbin
- All other tools and equipment will be available for use
- Student could bring own portable sewing (optional), if desired
PREREQUISITES: None!
These camps are conveniently run during holiday, winter, spring and summer vacation breaks. Learn all the skills and techniques to sew up simple projects. Get it all done in 3 half days or 3 evenings (for adults only).
